Plan of action
Framework of Discussions
1) Meet 3 times in week on weekdays for discussion on articles such as Newspapers articles and HBR articles
2) Meet once in a week for book discussion, most probably on weekend
3) Apart from mandatory books, if anybody has read any other book then he/she can present the book in front of the group to enhance the knowledge of receptors.
4) A moderator will facilitate the discussion and try to maintain the decorum of discussion
5) We will try to implement tools like MECE, 80/20 and Elevator test in our discussion to improve the level of discussions
Selection of books and articles
1) For books, we already have assigned with 12 books and apart from it, if anybody will be interested in reading some more than he/she can go ahead and present the review to the group
2) Every week three people choose 3 newspaper articles on their own discretion and these three people will change every week
3) We will read HBR article suggested by Mr. Avneesh Makkar, because we think that at this stage he would be the right person to do this thing and later on we will decide upon the articles after some weeks of experience on it.
Schedule
1) The schedule for all types of discussion will be flexible because we will be engaging in many activities in future.
2) Timing for discussion of articles would be 2.15pm to 2.45pm and 30 minute discussion is good time to utilize in the discussion.
3) Timing for book discussion would be one hour on Saturday and the time we will see according to the plan of the day.
Impact/outcome/result
Short term impact/outcome/result
1) We will write write-ups on the basis of our discussion and publish it on our blog as well as circulate it to all IWSB-ites as well as faculty and Elements Akademia’s members.
2) We will also publish our articles in newspaper of IWSB
Long term impact/outcome/result
1) We will try to publish our articles and review of the book in leading newspapers of India such as Business Standard and Economic Times.
